    November 01, 2014 9:00 PM

With quite the resume, including playing with his father's band the Neville Brothers and in the Rolling Stones' backing band, Ivan Neville is a formidable musician, both through his lineage and experience. After developing his set of musical skills and racking up a list of revered artists he had played with, Neville decided to form his own band in 2002, dubbing it Dumpstaphunk. Neville recruited his cousin Ian Neville along with a few other respected New Orleans musicians, and began producing an impressive brand of nu-funk that has developed a cult following both on the jam band and funk circuits.

    »Reckless Kelly

    November 04, 2014 7:30 PM

Reckless Kelly is the type of country band that must yearn for the days when the genre meant something other than radio pop hits with some steel guitar. The band plays it straight, running through its country-rock songs of boozing and scrapping with an authenticity that would make an outlaw country artist like Willie Nelson proud. A touch of modern rock and alt-country thrown into the mix extends the band's appeal beyond that of just genre purists.
