A guide in period dress will lead visitors around the historic Federal mansion, once owned by 1809 Massachusetts Governor and U.S. Senator Christopher Gore and his wife Rebecca Amory Payne Gore, and tell behind-the-scenes stories of how sumptuous dining and entertainment were presented in the early 1800s.
It's a battle royal of the family kind -- the Jewish family kind -- in the breakout comedy "Bad Jews" as Daphna and her cousin Liam return home for their grandfather's funeral. Daphna's proud of her Jewish roots and believes that her late grandpa's cherished chai necklace should be handed down to someone who recognizes its religious significance -- namely, her. But the equally outspoken, less traditional Liam is convinced he has equal claim to the priceless heirloom. Their differing views drive the scathingly funny yet thought-provoking conflict at the core of this play hailed by "The New York TImes" as "the best comedy of the season" in 2013.
