Sometimes you need to give your body a rest from what you have been eating regularly, such as meats, especially those that take quite a bit of time to digest and to rid the body of toxins that came in through certain foods eaten.  Over the last eight years I have faced obesity twice and have journaled my progress to freedom.                      Further, in writing several books to help others overcome obesity as well, I have now created online weight loss / nutrition and weight management "events" for those whom are "on-the-go", have limited finances to join gyms and weight loss groups and programs and for those whom simply cannot afford to nor have the time to exercise 1-2 hours per day as well as endure the pounding that "daily" jogging puts on your knees.   My solutions to weight loss, weight management, nurition and getting your health back on track is for any one of any age. Within my books I discuss how I lost 170lbs, beat obesity twice and sculpted an eating, workout and overall nutrition plan that can be done ANYWHERE. We are a live forum where amateur writers & performers can display their first person storytelling prowess, fiction or nonfiction, memorized or read from the page, and do so alongside some of the Boston area's best professional writers We give you a mic and 8 minutes. You give us a story.   How Story Club works...   Open Mic We have at least three open mic slots at each show (more if time allows). Open Mic participants sign up before the show and and are chosen via raffle live during the show. Each performer has 8 minutes to do their thing on stage (about 1300 words). There is a timer on stage with the performer, counting down. Once the timer goes off, the story is over. We recommend telling first person stories. The best stories quickly tell us where the story is taking place, who it involves, and what's at stake. Story Club loves having new storytellers on stage. We encourage everyone to sign up and show off what they've got.   Featured Performances Featured performances are curated exclusively for each show by the Story Club team. Featured performers write towards that month's theme, provide drafts of their stories, and work with our producers to refine their tales. Want to be a featured performer?
