Kungsmässan is large department store located in Kungsbacka, outside Gothenburg. The store carries all kinds of goods, from Women's wear to Men's wear, accessories, shoes, homewares and much more.
The exterior of this Mecca for jazz-lovers is decorated with LP-covers, with great stars from the jazz-era and onwards. You get something of a retro feeling looking at it, as you do when you browse through some of their records. Other genres are covered here as well, like classical music, schlager, pop and rock on CD and LP. There is a lot of literature related to music and other books.
Udéns is a well-established sports shop in Gothenburg. It has always had a strong focus on skiing, but lately outdoor equipment has started to dominate. Here you can find most of what you need, be it for cross-country, downhill or telemark skiing. You can also rent skis here, sometimes a cheaper solution than renting them at a resort. The shop also offers ski servicing and repairs.

Ica Focus is one of Sweden's largest supermarkets, with a pastry shop, fresh fish, a deli, a restaurant and catering services. To get here take tram 5 to Liseberg. Parking space is also available in the same building.
This store mainly caters to students, especially in the disciplines of humanities, medicine and health care. However, you do not have to be a student to find a bargain here. The bookshop is on the second floor of Kårhuset - you get there through the normal entrance, going up the stairs to your left. Here you will also find plenty of office materials, such as writing pads, binders and folders. Students get bulk discounts. Kårhuset is situated on Götabergsgatan, just off Avenyn.
Owned and operated by a UK crew, you'll find hip, vintage clothes and accessories at this personalized store. The clothes are styled after a UK look from the 1950s to 1980s and you'll find items for men, women and children. Walking into Reggie & Friends is like walking down Notting Hill or Brick Lane.
Bakery products, interior design and flowers are not normally combined in business, but that is what you will find at Cafe And The Bakery on Viktoriagatan. The bakery part sells gigantic meringues, muffins and cookies and freshly baked bread. To get here, take trams 1 or 2 to Vasa-Viktoriagatan.
Pasta Panini is an Italian restaurant that also sells Italian delicacies. They have the usual Parmesan cheese, Parma ham, olives and sun-dried tomatoes. You can also take a sandwich or a pasta dish home, together with a genuine tiramisù.
The chance of finding rarities is pretty high at Dirty Records, once you find it in its central yet anonymous location on Chalmersgatan (parallel to Avenyn). The interior has posters and other memorabilia, and contains rare records from both well-known and unknown artists. The selection on vinyl should please anyone who still has a record player. This place truly has a high cult factor. No credit cards are accepted.
This pearl of an antique dealer, with its wide selection of literature, is on the corner of Kristinelundsgatan and Teatergatan. A large yet cozy room with homely shelves, chairs and tables, Antiquaria Bok- och Bild Antikvariat holds books on just about everything, including philosophy, politics and music. You can also find some literature dealing with the WWII and society trends, as well as fashions from that time period. Prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is very pleasant.
At this special shop for all comic strip lovers, you can buy new and old Swedish comic books and a limited selection of foreign titles too. Ordinary books are also for sale, along with with a good selection of ice hockey, Pokémon and Magic cards. The staff at Seriehörnan is knowledgeable and helpful. The store is located on the crossing of Haga, Landsvägsgatan and Linnégatan.
