Kroksjön is a scenic lake located south of Skellefteå. A picturesque holiday destination, it is popular among locals as well as tourists. One can camp overnight in the fully-furnished holiday cottages that are built along the shore. Sit on the banks and enjoy the beautiful sunset here. A saw-mill is also located nearby.
The Bjornlandet National Park was established in 1991. The park does not house a lot of animals and birds as the climatic conditions are not very favorable. However, the park features plants and trees of a wide variety and is home to some rare species of vegetation. There are well marked trails for those who are interested in taking nature walks.
Skuleskogen National Park covers a length of 30.62 kilometers (19.03 miles) on Baltic Sea's serene coastline. The park is home to virgin forests, towering peaks and captivating seafront which makes its landscape truly unique. Slåttdalsberget is the highest peak of the park and sits at an elevation of 920 feet (280 meters) above the sea level. The park valleys are visited by woodpeckers of different species. Burial mounds dating back to the Bronze Age are major attractions of the park.
