Umeå City Church was established in 1894, after the original church being destroyed in the late 18th Century. It is one of the most important structures in the town. The church has wonderful architecture and is simply beautiful in the interiors.The church was designed by Fredrik Olaus Lindstrom and was heavily restored in 1929.

Gamla bankhuset is a Renaissance style building that can be dated back to 1877. The building is two floored and has yellow exteriors. It was used as a bank office building. The building was renovated in 1992 by the current owners Umeå Energi. Today, the Gamla bankhuset is one of the most important landmarks in the country.
