Clarion Inn Strasburg - Lancaster

The layout with many buildings is very rustic and serene, but the management doesn’t seem to know how to manage this property or the rooms. We had a suite with the two pull out sofas but only had three sets of bath towels. Two TV’s and neither of the remotes worked correctly. Tried to get another and received another with dead batteries. The manager gave us two cards for the room that had six people. When asking for additional cards, I was told that I would have to bring back the other two cards first. This was fun because we were unloading in a rain storm and first had to get everyone in the room. But we finally got 5 cards. The breakfast was okay (waffles), but only had white bread and no bagels. The blueberry muffins were bagged and stale. I also noticed that the towels are being stored in a maintenance room on a shelf next to an electrical panel. This is not a safe practice. While the price was reasonable, it just seemed like the management was not trained in hotel management. The pool was outside and during this time it was cold and raining, but the pool was not covered during the storms. Reinforcing my statement about management knowledge. For the price, I can’t really complain, but I guess you pay for what you get.

I’m not sure if we got our discount for being a rewards member or not. The room we ended up with was huge but the air conditioning in the main bedroom was not working properly and there was a urine smell at times, the room did seem to be fairly clean! There was one door that we couldn’t get our access to our room location because we and apparently no one else could get to open even though it sounded like it was unlocking it wouldn’t open , so we had to use an out of the way door to get access to our room this is the second time that we have stayed at this location but it is really going downhill !
