»The Cloisters

This Grade II listed building at first look simply looks like a cluster of buildings placed together, which is how the name probably originated. It started as a Residential Summer School with academics and music lessons. During the Second World War, however, the site was surrendered to the Army and returned in quite a battered condition, however many changes have taken place over the years, finally converting the site into a wonderful wedding venue. Today it is a building at risk, registered with the English Heritage. A few areas of the building cordoned off to the public, but is offered for events and private parties.
