»Mosvatnet

Stavanger's third largest lagoon, Mosvatnet is a scenic lake which remains popular with cyclists, runners and walkers. A 3-kilometer (1.86-mile) long trail navigates around the shores of Mosvatnet and passes through the Mosvangen camping site and the Rogaland art museum. Another walking route cuts through the woodland's footbridge and passes through a beautiful swimming pool, eventually merging with the lakefront trail.

»Preikestolen

Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock) is the most famous scenic natural attraction in the Ryfylke area. The mountain plateau is located 604 m above sea level. You can enjoy its impressive sight from a distance on a ferry in the Lysefjord, or you can hike up there and enjoy the astonishing view from Preikestolen itself. It is a two-hour hike to get to Preikestolen from Preikestolen hostel. A beautiful eight-hour round-trip guided hike is also available. Remember to bring comfortable footwear and a packed lunch.
