Even though this is a public course, many consider it as fine as the best private courses. This place offers various facilities. Green fees on a weekday for a 18-hole is USD65; gas carts are included. Tee times are accepted up to 14 days in advance. There is a dress policy - no denim and collared shirt. Bermuda shorts are required.
This Sports Center is named after the renowned Chicago business tycoon, Jacoby D. Dickens. Completely equipped with all the sports facilities like the gymnasium,basketball and volleyball courts,training and locker rooms; the center has 2500 seats for the spectators. Famous for its "Roll Bounce" movie auditions, The Rink is perfect for a day of fun. There is also a smaller rink in case you are not confident of your skating skills. Built by local teens and professional skaters in conjunction with architects, this is a sort of paradise for in-line skating enthusiasts. You will have to find your way down to Orland Park's Centennial Park, but the trip is worth the effort. There are 25,000 square feet of winding trails, concrete half-pipes and stairs for climbing, tricking on or merely rolling by.
In the Chicago Ridge Park District, the Frontier Park Fieldhouse is a huge fitness and sports center. In 2003, the Chicago White Sox and U.S. Cellular forged a unique partnership, renaming the ballpark U.S. Cellular Field. Dramatic, fan-focused renovations and improvements soon followed. The fully renovated U.S. Cellular Field will be completed by Opening Day 2005. Features include a 15,000-square-foot baseball and softball skills instruction area for kids.
