Aquarium du Québec is a popular attraction that is home to 250 species of fish, mammals and reptiles, including some that are unique to Quebec region. The Audio-Guide is a must when visiting the aquarium, as it provides fascinating information via headphones. Seals perform acrobatics three times a day, while a few trails, picnic tables and a restaurant are available on premises for relaxation. »Quebec Bridge

Quebec Bridge has a long history before it could be named the National Historic Site of Canada. The initial construction of the bridge started in 1904 and before its completion, the structure collapsed in 1907. After the second attempt of reviving the structure, it experienced another collapse in 1916. The final attempt was successful and the bridge was open in 1919. The bridge now has a railway line, pedestrian's walkway and three road lanes. It also holds the record of world's longest cantilevered bridge span of 549 meters (1800 feet).

Parc du Bois-de-Coulonge was once the residence of the Lieutenant Governors of Quebec, but post a fire accident in 1966 the place has been converted into a public garden. This historic garden in Quebec offers tourists a wonderful refuge among colorful flowers and soothing shade under maple, white spruce and oak trees. The garden offers a variety of activities for the visitors ranging from cycling around the park to walking areas, horticultural visits etc.

»Plaines d'Abraham

Better known as the Plains of Abraham, this is one of Quebec City's most popular parks and historical attractions. Commemorating the daring 1759 attack in which Quebec fell to the British under the leadership of General Wolfe, Plaines d'Abraham features two striking Martello Towers offering rotating displays and great views over the St Lawrence River. The interpretive center is housed in the Musée du Québec.

»Martello Towers

Located in the Battlefields Park, there are four Martello Towers to provide protection for Quebec City from the western end. Built between 1808 and 1812, the hard-walled, defense towers were established under the leadership of James Craig. The thick walls provided the much-needed fortification from the artillery fire. Although they were rendered useless in the 1860s, Martello Tower 1 remains open to visitors during summer.

The medical facility established by Jean-Baptiste de Saint-Vallier, the Bishop of Quebec acquired and independent monastery the beginning of 1700s. As of now, the site serves as a geriatric care facility for the elderly with mental and cognitive deficits by the name of Centre d'hébergement Hôpital général de Québec.
