This is one of the capital's best Tuscan restaurants and serves Tuscan staples, such as acqua cotta and pappa al pomodoro, as well as lobster, octopus and other fish dishes. One of the charming things about Papà Baccus is that you can choose your dessert straight from the sweet trolley, a once familiar sight that has more or less disappeared from restaurants these days. Delicious Cantuccini (almond biscuits) go down well with fortified Vin Santo wine. The restaurant includes a non-smoking area, so you can relish your food without the fumes.
This restaurant is near to Termini so it is just the place if you want to find a decent restaurant without having to travel all over Rome. The old city center is only a short walk away making it easy to go for a stroll after dinner. The restaurant's specialties are all Tuscan in origin: excellent steaks as well as antipasti with cured meats and other Tuscan delicacies. Make sure you try the crostini con lardo di Colonnata (toasted bread topped with fatty bacon). The wine list is predominantly from Tuscany. The restaurant has air conditioning, which provides an escape from even the hottest days in Rome, and service is attentive and polite.
This restaurant was a favorite of the gourmets of the dolce vita in the 1960s. It is now finally open once more having been completely rebuilt on three levels. The cooking is in the best Neapolitan tradition and is created by ten chefs and ten pizza chefs. For lunch or dinner try true Neapolitan pizza, Sartù of Rice with croquettes, spaghetti with clams and many other specialties. There is of course a whole range of main course dishes based on meat, fish and supported by fresh ingredients from Campania.
Lovers of true pizza Napoletana, raised with a chewy crust, will line up to try Stefano's pizzas, every one of which is delicious. The pizzas, served on wooden chopping boards, are original, varied and incredibly good, for instance, pizza D'Annunzio (with Provola cheese, onion and chili pepper). The fried mixed fish dishes and focaccias are also very nice. Delectable desserts are also offered.
This restaurant offers a varied menu of excellent national and international cuisine. The atmosphere is refined and elegant, decorated in an Old England style. A very distinctive and tranquil side room, the "Ninfeo", is also available and can be booked in advance. Tagliolini mare e champagne, Fillet of Turbot with artichoke, Brochettes de Langoustines and oysters prepared in a wide variety of ways are very good, as is the anatra al Torchio (duck breast), available during the autumn. Among the desserts, parfait with praline and crêpes suzette prepared at your table are worth trying. The wine-list is perfectly suited to the quality and variety of the food.
Il Golfo is a large, refined and tranquil Neapolitan restaurant with stunning artistic views of Naples adorning the walls. The service is also worth a quick note because the waitstaff really sets the bar for efficiency. Along with the delicious starters and Fritti buffet, there are various pizzas too - the pizza with sausage and Friarielli is a must-try. Finish things off with a hearty dessert or the last of your glass of bold red wine and start the evening off in style.

When this place closed, it was considered the end of 'la dolce vita' in the capital. Its reopening a few years ago was the sign of the rebirth of Via Veneto. Happily frequented by Romans and tourists, in particular the rich and famous, it is a pleasant place to sip an espresso, enjoy a gelato, or just pause for a quick lunch during a working day. A long file of tables and the sparkling counter attracts the passers-by. The interior is very elegant and the service attentive. A tantalizing Mediterranean feast awaits you at Doney Restaurant.
