»Slezskoostravský Hrad

Slezskoostravský Hrad was built in the the second half of the thirteenth century to protect the boundaries of Opava and Krakow. However, after the boundaries were reconquered in the year 1327, the castle lost its importance and was abandoned. Now the castle has been restored from its depleted state and is open to the visitors. Slezskoostravský Hrad is also used for some major concerts and events. If you are in the city, ensure that you do visit the castle for it is a tell tale of the royal past of the city.

»Silesian Ostrava Castle

Dating back to 1280, the Silesian Ostrava Castle of Czech Republic ‎is a popular tourist attraction with its rich history, fine architecture and interesting exhibitions. Constructed for military purposes, it was later converted into a Renaissance residence in the 16th Century. Today it is open to tourists with exhibition on witches, medieval practices and even an aquarium! It hosts many cultural events and festivals.

»Monument to the fallen for Těšín Silesia

Located in southern Orlova within a small cemetery, the Monument to the fallen for Těšín Silesia is a memorial dedicated to the Czech victims of the Polish–Czechoslovak War and the Cieszyn Silesia dispute. This partially restored monument was originally built in 1928 and comprised of a large sculpture with a Silesian eagle and a marble wall with the names of the victims inscribed on it. Today, the marble wall can be seen but the impressive sculpture was unfortunately destroyed in 1938 and has not been restored after World War II.

»Žermanice Dam

Žermanice Dam is a breathtakingly beautiful water reservoir situated near the fringes of the idyllic village of Žermanice in Czech Republic. It took eight years to construct this dam, and it finally became fully functional in 1958. The dam has a surface area of 248 hectares (612.82 acres), and is an extremely popular recreational hub for the locals of Žermanice and its neighboring villages and towns. »Těrlicko Dam

Těrlicko Dam is a spectacular water reservoir situated in the very heart of the humble village of Těrlicko in Czech Republic. It took seven years to construct the dam, and it finally became fully functional in 1962. This dam has a surface area of 266 hectares (657.3 acres), and is enveloped by undulating hills and settlements. It is an extremely popular recreational hub for the locals of Těrlicko and its neighboring villages and towns. It provides several opportunities to indulge in water sports, and is also a crucial source of water.

»Hrad Hukvaldy

Hrad Hukvaldy is one of the oldest and most important castles in the city of Hukvaldy. This is the third largest castle in the Republic and the origins of which go back to the 13th Century. The castle is said to be founded by the Lords of Huckeswagen and was later under the hold of the Bishop of Olomouc. A fire in 1762, caused great damage to the castle and it was destroyed to a large extent. Since then it never regained its earlier glory despite restoration processes. Today however, concerts are held in the castle chapel and amphitheater. Call ahead for more details.

»Jesus Church (Cieszyn)

Jesus Church, also known as Grace Church, is a breathtakingly beautiful Lutheran church situated in the very heart of the town of Cieszyn in Poland. It was constructed in 1750 in the unique Baroque architectural style by an architect named Jan Haüsrucker. This pivotal Protestant church is visited by legions of devotees every year. The interiors of this house of worship are absolutely awe-inspiring. The ornate, intricately designed organ is the highlight of this place. The altar is adorned with several beautiful sculptures of saints, and is a sight to behold. Don't give this site a miss at any cost!

»Lysá hora

Lysá hora is the loftiest mount of the majestic Moravian-Silesian Beskids mountain range that dominates eastern Czech Republic. It has a height of a whopping 1,323 meters (4,341 feet), and is one of the ultimate destinations for rock climbing and hiking. At present, this site is a well-known ski resort. Its summit provides spectacular, awe-inspiring vistas of the nearby Mount Travný. Don't give this place a miss at any cost if you love outdoors and adventure.

Rybnik is located in southern Poland, close to the Czech Republic border. The city has a population of almost 140,000 and is an important economic region of Poland. Rybnik is just outside the largest urban area in Poland, the Upper Silesian Metropolitan Union. The name Rybnik meant "fishpond" in the Old Polish language, and it derives from "ryba," the Polish word for fish. The name reflects upon the role that fish farming played in the city's economy in the Middle Ages. Rybnik has been called a "green city" because of its clean environment. There is no real center of tourism here, but there are several sightseeing opportunities to explore. 



Kozubová is a breathtakingly beautiful mountain belonging to the majestic Moravian-Silesian Beskids mountains. It is situated in eastern Czech Republic, and has a height of 982 meters (3,222 feet). The highlight of this site is the awe-inspiring Saint Anne Chapel, which was constructed in 1937. This chapel hosts church fairs annually, which is attended by legions of people. A mountain hut can also be spotted near the summit of Kozubová. Don't give this place a miss at any cost if you love adventure sports!
