Radio is another one of Downtown Oakland's small, dark bars. Despite its size, Radio always manages to pack in the people several nights a week, drawn here by the giant cage for dancing and stiff, reasonably priced drinks and fun bartender. While it may be difficult to sit down, most people come to boogie down instead to the live DJ's and different music theme nights.
Karibbean City is a popular Caribbean restaurant and bar that is not only visited by the local community but also those who love to explore regional food. The decor is very bohemian and ethnic, with dark wood, beautiful pillows and cushions, and of course being an art gallery, interesting art covering the walls. Liege Spirits Lounge is a sophisticated cocktail lounge located in Old Oakland. The dark yet warmly lit interiors seem to go perfectly with their classy cocktail menu. Liege also serves up a small but delicious menu of paninis, cheese boards, charcuterie, snacks and even a dessert option to satisfy your sweet tooth. Dogwood is located in Oakland's Uptown district. This cozy bar is decorated with sophistication, featuring dark polished wood, leather upholstered bar-stools and a couple of exposed brick walls, but still maintains a warm and comfortable atmosphere.
