Opened in 1948, the Johnson Hagood Stadium is a 18,000-seat football stadium named after Brigadier General Johnson Hagood. The stadium was purchased by The Citadel from the city of Charleston in 1963. The rooms inside and the lawn of McBee House, an incredible example of a Regency Villa located within the school grounds, are all available on rent for various events and functions. The rooms include the MacDonald Drawing Room, Hubbard Board Room, Sottile Thompson Recital Hall and a porch, which can accommodate up to 150 people for cocktail parties and receptions.
