»The Bowery Presents: The Bright Light Social Hour

March 31, 2015 9:00 PM

Hailing from Austin, Texas, the Bright Light Social Hour is a band that creates unique and fairly joyous music. After meeting at university, the four members of the band came together with a common love for creating rock music which draws comparisons to several groups from the musical glory days of yesteryear (read: the 60s). Melding psychedelia with funk and soul, the Bright Light Social Hour's concert experiences are exciting and one-of-a-kind because the group tends to incorporate some improvisitional playing whilst on stage. The band released its self-titled debut album in 2011.
