    This golf course is one of the largest and oldest golf facilities in Sweden. The links are beautifully maintained and the staff is friendly and helpful. The green fees are fairly low, and this makes a great place to do business or get out for an afternoon.

    Jagersro Trav & Galopp boasts of a turf, a horse riding school and a restaurant that offers sumptuous cuisine. One of its kind in the city, this place has hosts several prestigious competitions and races in the past.     »Dragr Golf Club

    Dragr Golf Club's 18-hole course was finished in 1991. It is located only 12km from the heart of the city. The club also has a six-hole par 3 course, a putting green and a driving range. You'll also find a clubhouse with a restaurant, bar, good changing-room facilities as well as a pro shop, from where you can rent golf clubs. The club is very popular and it is necessary to sign up on a waiting list to become a member.

Copenhagen Cable Park boasts of some of the best wakeboarding facilities and welcomes experienced professionals and amateurs alike. There's a proshop onsite stocking everything from high quality gear to apparel. If you're new to the sport or simply want to hone your skills, the facility offers lessons as well. Children are also welcome as long as they're accompanied by an adult. There's an onsite cafe as well, offering a range of sandwiches and light bites. Group packages are available.     »Trekroner Fort, Flak Fort, Middelgrunds Fort (Trekroner, Flakfortet, Middelgrundsfortet)

    Trekroner, Flakfortet and Middelgrundsfortet are three sea fortresses constructed on islands at the entrance to the harbour of Copenhagen. Recently, many buildings within the fortresses have been restored, but still some are in miserable conditions. Flakfortet houses a sailing club, opened in 1975, which contains a restaurant and offers good view over Copenhagen. As for Middelgrundsfortet, there are today plans to create a cultural center on the island it is on. This artificial island is the largest of its kind when it was built. A boat from Nyhavn will take you out to the fortresses on a Canal Tour.

    »Halvandet

    You'll be forgiven for thinking you've discovered a hidden beach when you catch first glimpse of Halvandet. The marina has literally been transformed into a beach-like setting with outdoor beach furniture, tents and outdoor barbeque. If you're the active types, the facility has volleyball, football, basketball as well as mini golf. For adventure enthusiasts, Halvandet offers Kayaking Polo, Bungee Run and numerous other sports. There's delectable food on offer when all the playing will make you hungry. The space is a popular for hosting numerous private events and birthday parties.     »Amager Beach (Amager Strandpark)

    This is a big area with beaches near Copenhagen, where you will also find Kastrup fortress. It is not a very idyllic and natural beach, but it is quite clean and has views to gigantic gas containers, resundsbroen bridge to Sweden and a few islands. It is very popular amongst the people of Copenhagen in the summer. In 2005 the area was renovated, and currently boasts this new design.

    »Havnebadet Islands Brygge

    It's no secret that the city gets a limited amount of precious sunshine throughout the year, and Copenhageners make the most of the warm weather by going for a dip in the numerous outdoor baths around the city. One of the first and probably the biggest to open in the city Havnebadet Islands Brygge, has no less than four outdoor pools, with one dedicated exercise pool, one diving pool and two smaller ones for children. Visitors can relax or perhaps even have a picnic in the large open space next to the pools. Enjoy beautiful views of the city as you go for a refreshing dip.

    »Havnebadet Fisketorvet

    One of the first harbor baths to open in the city, this facility originally opened in 2002 at Islands Brygge, but was shifted to Fisketorvet the next year to accommodate larger facilities at the original location. The facility comprises three pools, with exercixe pool, a diving pool and children's pool. There's a little area behind the pool, with lounge chairs for visitors to relax. Water quality is constantly monitored and lifeguards are always on call. Bathing season lasts from June 15 to August 31. Check website for more.

    »Ripley's Believe It Or Not

    Ripley's is called, a museum of adventure and consists of 13 exciting galleries full of strange and exotic objects. It was the journalist, artist and adventurer Robert L. Ripley who collected the many strange objects in the museum during his lifetime. In the gallery called, lumber room you can see the Button Girl, a doll covered with more than 7,000 buttons. In the gallery for quackery you will find many strange gadgets and instruments that they used to believe could cure many diseases. Ripley also collected torture instruments from the middle ages and if you want to compete with the tallest man in the world (Robert Wadlow) or see how heavy the heaviest man in the world is, you can pay a visit to the gallery on, human peculiarities. Ripley's is a fun filled experience for the whole family.

    »Tivoli

    Founded in 1843, Tivoli is located where the once-fortified city's ramparts used to be, and the park's on-site lake is a remnant of the city's moat. Children of all ages visit year 'round for the old-world carnival-style atmosphere and the exciting attractions. Test your mettle on a number of extreme thrill rides (including "The Demon" and "The Spinning Top"). Tamer rides and activities are in abundance as well. Young ones will not want to miss the grand carousel or the aquarium. Older folk tend to congregate in and around Tivoli's nearly 40 bars and restaurants, some of which are tres gourmet and may date as far back as 1843.     »Zakatcha Paintball Park

    The Zakatcha Paintball Park is one of the most unorthodox activities available in the region. The idea is to replicate combat but with harmless (though a bit stinging) paint bullets. There are lots of enthusiasts in the area, so don't be surprised if you have some stiff competition, but beginners will soon find themselves right at home if they can leave their inhibitions and their hesitation behind.
