Home to some of the exotic species of birds and floral beauty you would find in Sweden, the Gammelstadsvikens is a natural reserve served by a panoramic lake and a wide expanse of marshland. The place originally was a bay and used as a port for Lulea for a short period of time. Today, it is a natural habitat for local variety of birds such as spoon ducks, brown ducks, coots, little gull and Norrbotten hazel.
