Located approximately 47 miles to the southwest of Genoa, the commune of Borgio Verezzi primarily consists of a number of villages and scenic hamlets that lie 200 meters above sea level. While the historic old town is spread across a hill, the newer developments have extended along the surrounding plains and foothills, making this commune incredibly diverse in its geography. Every summer, the local piazza plays host to a grand theater festival that attracts theatrical troupes from across Italy.
Cairo Montenotte is a quaint city popular for being the birthplace of the local patriot and renowned writer Giuseppe Cesare Abba. Much can be explored here from the city's Napoleonic history, its art and architecture to its history related to the Second World War.
Located in the Savona province, it is a coastal town of modest population. Its origins trace back to the early 9th Century. The historic center and the promenade by the sea are the two major points of interest, in addition to a few military structures and the usual churches and chapels of medieval and Renaissance origins.
