The pub takes its name from the Scottish patriot William Wallace, and attempts to create the atmosphere of that era. Great beer, delicate wines and nice food are served while good music is playing live, most nights at least. Every weekend there is great live music for rock, pop and Irish lovers.
The pub is just behind the Bank of Napoli and just a short walk from Piazza Sant'Oronzo. The Wallace is a Scottish pub. It has been entirely outfitted in wood and there are very large tables. The walls are decorated with chains and medieval weapons. There is an iron cage which is hanging over one of the entrances, giving the place the atmosphere of an old medieval castle.
This distinctive place is the invention of four friends who wanted to find a way to escape the mundanity of daily life with all its problems and rationality. And what better place to hide away than the magnificent world of fantasy that is so rarely awoken in us? The isola che non c'è or the 'island that doesn't exist,' can be found in a little villa on the edge of the city which is entirely furnished in wood and welcomes adventurers with a large, papier mache crocodile in a cage.
