The Arkansas Alligator Farm and Petting Zoo is a popular attraction among locals and tourists alike. This private zoo has been raising alligators for over a century. On the farm are over 200 alligators, as well as turkeys, wild boars, turtles, deer and pigs. Visitors can get up close and personal with these animals, and explore the museum to view the mounted collection of alligators.
The largest grouping of bathhouses in the United States, Bathhouse Row features eight turn-of-the-century bathhouses, Superior, Hale, Maurice, Quapaw, Ozark, Lamar, Fordyce, and Buckstaff, in Neoclassical, Renaissance Revival, Spanish, and Italianate styles.
Lake Ouachita is known for its scenic natural beauty and the clarity of its waters. The 40,000-acre lake is great for water sports, swimming, skiing, scuba diving, boating, and fishing. The park features historic Three Sisters' Springs. Fully-equipped cabins include seven that overlook the lake and one that offers a woods view. Park campgrounds feature 103 campsites (40 Class AAA, 25 Class B, 24 Class D, and 12 Hike-in Tent sites). Other park facilities include picnic areas, trails, a swimming area and marina with boat rentals, bait and supplies.
