The burial mound of King Harald Fairhair, the first king of Norway, Haraldshaugen is a national monument built in 1872. It is composed of a memorial obelisk surrounded by a mound, the outline of which consists of 29 granite stones representing the 29 historical counties of the country. The memorial also marks the Battle of Hafrsfjord after which Norway was united under one leader.
Found in Rogaland's Tysvær municipality, Aksdalsvatnet is a sparkling lake. The lake contains large populations of char, eel and trout which makes it a popular spot for angling. A tiny bird lake is also found nearby Aksdalsvatnet. The quaint Tweed hamlet lies to Aksdalsvatnet's north end.
