Named for its proximity to the Auckland Trotting Club Raceway at Alexandra Park, Gee Gee's Bar and Brasserie is well known to locals and frequent race-goers for its good food, atmosphere and attentive service. Trotting regalia adorns the front bar area. The restaurant, at the rear, offers a children's menu and even high chairs. The owner, Ivan Rudez, is of Croatian origin, and the meals are often Mediterranean in flavour and presentation, and always generous in proportion.
