This museum is located at the site of a bunker and artillery complex dating back to World War II. The installation is fitted out as though the weapons were set to go into action, and everything is authentically set up to replicate conditions from the war. Due to Sweden's neutrality, the guns were never fired in combat, but their condition, the complex and the informative staff can give one a sense of the uncertainty and fear of that unique and historic time.
Sveriges Cirkusmuseum is a museum dedicated to circus and its troupe. It showcases assortment of colorful outfits and props used in circus. Right from the toys of clowns to the objects toggled by tightrope walkers, this space has it all. Apart from that, it also has circus shows that are loved by one and all. The Grafiska Museet in Helsingborg is one of the premiere museums in town. It is a highly refined collection of graphic arts, from painting to drawing to sculpture. The museum is well funded, so several works of art by famous artists are on display. The grounds and building of the museum are worth a look by themselves, but the museum itself is one of Helsingborg's best sights.
The Fredriksdals Friluftsmuseum (Frederick's Open Air Museum) was developed around a 1765 manor house after it was donated to the city council by its last family in 1923. It is spread across 69 acres at the city center and is open to public throughout the year for stroll down the narrow pathways of the garden. The garden also boasts of holding one of the most elaborate rose gardens in the country where you can find more than 400 variety of roses. The Fredriksdalsteatern (Fredriksdal Theater), inside the museum, is a French baroque styled open-air theater that hosts variety of theater as well as cultural acts from time to time.
The remaining fortifications of the once mighty Helsingborg castle are now known as Kärnan, or "the core" in English. They constitute only the keep, or central tower of the old fortress, but the insides of the building are fitted out with a museum of medieval life and warfare. The top of the keep also features a viewing area with stunning views of the city, the surrounding countryside, the Öresund and Denmark across the water.
Tegners Museum og Staue Park is an ode to Denmark's most revered sculptor, Rudolph Tegner. This park has several of his sculptures that have been carefully preserved over the centuries much to the awe of art enthusiasts. After a stroll through the exhibits, replenish yourself at the museum cafe that serves some delicious Danish snacks and beverages.
Located in the city of Helsingør, this museum is housed inside an ancient building known as Karmeliterhuset or Carmelite House. The Danmarks Tekniske Museet houses an impressive collection of appliances, vehicles and steam engines. The museum highlights are the ancient Hammel car and vintage automobile displays. Admission prices vary seasonally.
