View rotating selections from the college's wide ranging permanent collection of original fine art and crafts while visiting this gallery that also features occasional traveling exhibitions.
Located in the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, the Weatherspoon Museum of Art has collected almost 6000 pieces of modern and contemporary art, and is regarded as one of the best art museums in the Southeast. The permanent collection features works by famous artists like Andy Warhol, Willem de Kooning, Alexander Calder and Sol le Witt, but the gallery also regularly features small exhibits from emerging artists. In collaboration with the UNC Department of Art, The Falk Visiting Artist program showcases the work of guest artists every year. The museum grounds include a sculpture garden, six galleries, and an auditorium for lectures, performances and film screenings. Admission is free. Call ahead to schedule group tours.

The Natural Science Center of Greensboro takes attendees through worlds once inhabited by dinosaurs with 36-foot tall T-Rex models, as well places to to learn about the earth like the Gem and Mineral Gallery as the aquatic labs where the everyone can pet and get to know more about snakes, amphibians and sea-creatures. A trip to the Center and all the attractions within is definitely an experience that any and all members of the family can enjoy.
Located in the Arts and Antiques District in Downtown Greensboro, Artmongerz showcases the work of local artists who work in a variety of media, all with a modern edge. The in-house studio allows visitors to watch the artists at work while they create their latest piece. Events are held the first Friday of each month to celebrate the art on display.
A former thrift years from yesteryear. the building that now houses the Elsewhere Collaborative is a place for artists, students and all walks of life to find inspiration for their art, their stories, their concepts. The goal and lasting mission of the International Civil Rights Center and Museum is to educate future generations, and also not let anyone forget our Greensboro's as well as the nation's struggle for Civil Rights. Everything that began with the sit-in protest of the Woolworth-lunch counter 1960 by four young North Carolina A&T State College students and every battle in-between, and even all the way up to now is chronicled inside these walls. This is truly one inspiring monument to history.
