»Dr. Dog : Flamingo Hotel Tour

March 31, 2015 9:00 PM

With more harmonies than you can handle, groovy beats and poetic lyrics about love, loss and temporality, Dr. Dog’s psychedelic sound is unlike anything heard this side of the 1960s. Straight out of Philadelphia, this five-piece created its unique old-school sound in home studios on classic 8-track recording equipment. Behind the distinctive lead vocals of Toby Leaman and Scott McMicken, the rest of the band rounds out Dr. Dog’s music with plenty of guitar fuzz, poppy keyboard riffs and a chorus of backing vocals.

For two of the children, the donations will go to necessary tutoring needed for math courses. The third child is nonverbal, and his family is looking for donations to help with a sensory room they are building in their garage. The room will help him relieve his frustration when he is unable to communicate his wants and needs. Most importantly, the room is necessary for his safety and growth. Sign- in time is from 4:30pm- 6:00pm, and the walk will begin at 6:15pm. Remember to print out your ticket and bring it to the event. Jambalaya and koooz (a sweet ice treat) will be sold. There will also be vendors with resource information for Autistic children and adults. Come out for a great time! Thank you for your donations!
