The Freiburg Münster defines the city of Freiburg im Breisgau. The highlight of the Gothic-styled church is the 116 meter (380.58 feet) spire that is recognized as one of the most beautiful spires. Other prominent features include the ancient Hosanna bell and the star gallery.
The NEF Saint Matthieu is dedicated to, as the name would suggest, Saint Matthieu. The building of the church catches every eye with its archaic red color. The prayer services and concerts held here are very spiritually inclined. If you are in the city, attend one of the masses here or simply take in the stunning structure of this hard-to-miss place.
Colmar has an old worldly charm to it due to its many architectural gems. It was established in the 9th Century and you will see glimpses of its medieval past almost everywhere in its well preserved structures. Some of the interesting sights are the Unterlinden Museum, Koifhus, The Dominican Church (Église des Dominicains), Musée Bartholdi, Musée animé du Jouet et des Petits Trains and Église Saint-Martin (St Martin's Church). Church of Saint Maurice is an awe-inspiring house of worship situated in the very heart of the hamlet of Ebersmunster in France. This splendorous edifice was constructed in 1727 in the distinctive Baroque architectural style by Peter Thumb, the eminent Austrian architect. It has been designated as a 'monument historique' by the prestigious French Ministry of Culture. The interiors of the church are spectacular, with the frescoes adorning the ceilings, the ornate pulpit, choir stalls and the pipe organ. Don't give this place a miss at any cost if you happen to be in Ebersmunster.
The church is housed in a 13th Century structure belonging to the Gothic style. Besides the prayer and choir service, it is a famous classical music festival venue where artists perform the works of Spanish and French musicians belonging to the Renaissance. A great place to enjoy the music of the medieval times.
