»QRS Music Rolls, Inc.

This music shop has the distinction of being the largest manufacturer of player piano rolls in the world, and at over 100 years old, it's also the oldest. Located close to the Peace Bridge, the shop has displays of musical instruments ranging from historic piano roll players to the most modern compact disc player pianos. As a special offer, the shop is selling a limited edition series of 10 piano rolls, one for each decade of the 20th century, with two songs on each roll.

This quaint little bookstore appears from its facade to be a little box and inside of it, you'll find tons of books. In addition to an eclectic mix of tomes that range from self-help and gardening to everything in-between, they also sell records and other book related memorabilia. Despite the diminutive dwelling, there are more than 12,000 different titles inside this Elmwood Village gem.

This is one of the last of a dying breed, a old-fashioned record store. In today's world of digitized information and sound, it is still nice to hear the crackle and pop of a record once in a while. If you still have a record player to play them, it is difficult to imagine how someone could stay out of the bins at Spiral Scratch.
