Organized in 1960 as the Highline Symphony, this orchestra moved to Federal Way in 1985. It has about 60 paid members, with additional musicians joining the group for some concerts. Maestro Brian Davenport has led the orchestra since 1982. The symphony plays popular music as well as traditional classical selections. It performs a special concert during the winter holiday season. W. W. Seymour Botanical Conservatory is a greenhouse located in the Wright Park Arboretum. It is located in Tacoma, Washington and is managed by Metro Parks Tacoma. The conservatory was built in 1907 C.E in Victorian-style and was named after donor William W. Seymour. The conservatory has more than 550 species of plants and more than 200 orchids. It was added to the National Registrar of Historic Places on October 8, 1976.
