Husband-wife duo Over the Rhine is a well respected americana-folk act that was formed in Ohio in 1989. After receiving accolades for its debut album in 1991, the duo toured with Bob Dylan and other notable folk acts, allowing the band to build a solid fan base. As the group continued to hone its sound, it grabbed the attention of other prominent musicians who offered to produce or make guest appearances on Over the Rhine's albums. While the duo remains a better known name amongst musicians than a mainstream audience, it still has a sizable and devout fan base that lines up for tickets when the band plays live shows.
