Tom Tit's Experiment, an adventure in technology and science, is located in Södertälje but is well worth the trip. The displays are interactive and you can touch and turn as much as you want. There are huge halls packed with fun filled things, such as strange machines and pictures. There are exhibits about the human body and outer space and all its different constellations. »Sandhagens Naturreservat

This park is situated on the northern end of a peninsula, just across the sound from Uppsala. Though it is a peninsula, it is most conveniently reached from Uppsala by water, as the nearest road connection is some distance south, a good deal closer to Stockholm. Apart from activities like hiking and camping, the park has large dunes and open spaces that are used for activities like ATV'ing.

This luscious park was named the most beautiful park in Sweden in 2004. Staying true to its name, Stadsparken is a green paradise. With a little cafe, concert stage and a playground, it has a little something for everybody. A lazy Sunday walk, sweating out the calories, swinging your joys away, the park is the place to be to just chill and forget one's mundane worries for just a bit. Call the tourist office for more details.

»Parkleken Gulsippan

This modern playground has disabled access. It is a place where all children can move around, handle the playing equipment and participate in the games. Among other things, you will find a raised sandbox, an adventure fortress for games and exercise, indications for the visually impaired and a stable swing that older kids can use, too. The park has animals for the children to meet, including rabbits, hens and sheep.
