The Erie SeaWolves are a AA-affiliate of the Detroit Tigers. Their regular season lasts from April through September. Home games are played at the historic Jerry Uht Park.
Basement Transmissions is an underground venue for concerts and art exhibitions. The sparsely done white-washed venue is a hub for alternative rock musicians and creative thinkers. Virtually unknown to those who are not into this kind of music, Basement Transmissions was founded in 1998. Some of their previous lists are Expire, Spine, Mere Phantoms and Burrow Drive.
"One of the oldest and largest community theatres in the nation," the Erie Playhouse offers a season of Mainstage plays and musicals that are performed in the home of the former circa 1947 Strand Theatre.
A variety of concerts are performed by Erie Philharmonic's world-class musicians from September through May in the Warner Theatre at 811 State Street.

This theatre built by Warner Brothers is a 2,506-seat theater located in Erie. One Of Four Art Deco Movie Palaces, the Warner Theatre in Erie is a perfect place to catch a play or a musical. The Warner Theatre with its stunning design and classic elegance is considered by locals to be an important landmark. What adds to the venue's grandeur is the shiny Circular Gold and Silver Ceiling Image and the grand lobby. Once a movie theatre, this venue is used as a performance centre and accommodates over 2250 guests. The Warner theatre also serves as a venue for concerts, seminars, Broadway shows, and the Erie Philharmonic.
Home of the Erie Otters, the Tullio Arena is a multi-purpose facility that is host to concerts, sporting events, exhibits, and more.
Part of the Ontario Hockey League, the Otters' regular season of 68 games are played, when at home; at the 5,500-seat Louis J. Tullio Arena in downtown Erie.
Adjacent to the Tullio Arena, the 6,000-seat Jerry Uht Park features six luxury suites, multi-tiered picnic areas, a beer garden, three main concession stands and a raised upper deck of seats along the first base side. Jerry Uht Park is host to the Erie SeaWolves, Erie Philharmonic's "Pops in the Park," local collegiate and high school playoff games, and more.
The Erie Civic Center Complex hosts many of the city's children's events, concerts, Broadway plays, and other entertainment. The Complex contains both the Warner and the Louis J. Tullio Arena. The 2250-seat Warner Theatre presents a number of events including concerts, seminars, and stage shows. It is home to the Erie Philharmonic, Erie Civic Music Association, and Lake Erie Ballet. The Warner's Grand Lobby is also often used for weddings and receptions. The Tullio Arena is home to Erie Otters Hockey, and has performances by such companies as Disney on Ice and the Harlem Globetrotters.
The Erie County Convention Center hosts concerts, Broadway shows, hockey, baseball, wrestling and ice shows in four different venues - The Warner Theatre, Jerry Uht Park, the Bayfront Convention Center and the Louis J. Tullio Arena. While stand up talk show hosts like Jerry Seinfeld have graced this center a lot of times, the historic Warner Theatre shows ballet, gospel, Broadway, plays and concerts. The Louis J. Tullio is home to The OHL Erie Otters, which have regular games lined up at this site. Watch out for the Motley Crue Carnival of Sins 2006.
"The premiere ballet company in northwestern Pennsylvania," the Lake Erie Ballet is comprised of five professional dancers and six apprentices. The Lake Erie Ballet's home in downtown Erie's cultural district includes the Lake Erie Ballet School, which trains over 100 students from beginner through advanced levels in ballet, jazz and tap.
