Martha's Vineyard Arena is a multi-sport arena located in Oak Bluffs. The structure primarily serves as a year-round skating and hockey facility, complete with Pro shop for all your skating needs. There are adult skating, hockey and free ice times as well as children's leagues and activities throughout the year. Check website for public skating schedule.
Martha's Vineyard Regional High School is one of the largest high schools on the island and is home to some 700+ high schoolers. During the summer months, the high school hosts baseball games of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League (FCBL) with the island's own Martha's Vineyard Sharks.
Strolling the lanes around the the Trinity Park, you'll feel as if you've walked into a fairy-tale land or a film set at the least. Commonly known as the gingerbread cottages, the striking residences are located in an area known as the Campground and are one of the city's popular treasures and a National Historic Landmark. Passenger tickets may be purchased at the Steamship Authority terminals and Plymouth, Brockton and Bonanza Bus Line terminals. Reservations are not required unless you are traveling with a vehicle.

The town history began in 1871 when settlers separated West Tisbury and the area known today as Vineyard Haven. Located on prime sailing routes, it was for centuries one of New England's top seaports. In 1845, nearly 14,000 vessels stopped to get supplies here and wait for more favorable weather. Today, travelers tour the lovely parks, quaint shops, Greek Revival architecture and the West Chop Light.

The Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) is a fully facilitated marine research and study institution. The center started in 1930 and since then has been fascinating the world with their findings. The Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution is the organization that discovered the Titanic. Don’t miss their exhibits of the find, the research and photographs. The facility also has a few regular publications like Oceanus Magazine. At the facility, you can visit the Ocean Science Exhibit Center to learn more about marine animals, the work the facility does and a whole lot of other interesting facts about the sea. They have developed vessels that aid you to travel to the depths of the ocean. The institute also organizes a number of events like their regular walks through the facility that is usually shut to outsiders. They also organize interactive workshops. Or you could be a part of the Peanut Butter Club, which is a casual get together at the facility itself to discuss marine life among other things.
