Established in 1998, Chippewa Falls Museum of Industry and Technology is a must-visit for computer buffs in town. This community-organized museum chronicles the industrial and technological heritage of the Chippewa Valley. It features an array of interactive programs and activities that are educational yet fun. One of its highlighting exhibitions is its archive of Cray supercomputers, as well as that of machines from the 1800s.
Enjoy a tour of the brewery museum or even try the tasting room.
Unbelievable as it sounds, the 5-storeyed Dells Mill and Museum was built 1864, at a time when there were no automobiles or proper roads to facilitate the construction of such a large building. Built as a grist mill, this was where the farmers of Augusta went about their daily affairs and interacted with each other. This historic mill was actually in operation until 1968, and now serves as a museum with exciting exhibits. The nearby Dell Mills Pond beckons to anglers with a penchant for fishing and whiling away time by the waterside. Call for details.
