Stensparken Park (Stensparken)
Dronning Mauds Gate 1
+47 8153 0555
Another beautiful park inside central Oslo, this one has had many names. Stensparken comes from old Sten
farm, closed down in the 17th Century. On the north side of Stensparken is Blåsten, a small, natural environment and a paradise for adventurous children. Stensparken offers the usual pleasures of a park: a lovely place for having a picnic or for sunbathing on warm summer days. In the neighborhood there are two streets with lots of very charming, mostly wooden buildings, bigger and more "castle-like" than those at Kampen
, Rodelkka or Damstredet
(some other streets with old houses in Oslo). Look for Lyder Sagens gate and Aage Wolffs gate. Fagerborg Church is inside the park, close to a sculpture of famous Norwegian writer Sigrid Undset.
