Greensboro, North Carolina-based band Holy Ghost Tent Revival is a rock band that formed in 2007. Infused with elements of folk, bluegrass, punk and jazz, the band creates a sound that is both hard-hitting and buoyant. After releasing its debut album So Long I Screamed, in 2008, the band's brassy, jangly punk quickly captured an audience in its home state and Holy Ghost Tent Revival responded by releasing its Family EP in 2009 and a live record titled Northbound at Southparkin 2010.

Few singers are lucky enough to have a voice that's extremely recognizable and entirely representative of the vocalist's entire sonic ethos. Somehow Ohio-born singer/songwriter Macy Gray was born with one such voice and ever since she burst onto the scene with her smash hit single "I Try" off her 1999 debut album Oh How Life Is, Grey has become widely known amongst the general listening public for her raspy croon.
