»Pile

March 01, 2015

Pile is a stoner rock band from Boston that crafts a sleepy, post-grunge sound. With moments of off-kilter energy sewn throughout its songs, the group first captured its distinctive style on the 2009 album Jerk Routine. Mastering the balance between the past and present of alternative rock, punk and post punk, post-hardcore and indie, Pile captured a massive following that has grown with each of its subsequent LPs, such as 2012's Drippings.

»21 Days To A New Healthy You! How I Lost 170lbs (Online Weight-loss Event) - Howard University

March 01, 2015 7:00 AM

"IT'S TIME FOR YOU TO BOUNCE BACK!!" Event Date: February 01, 2015 to April 21, 2015 A Global Online "21-DAY CHALLENGE" Weight-Loss and Weight-Management Program for MEN and WOMEN  For busy moms, dads, students, children, executives, business owners, teachers and the like                                                                                                                                      Photograph by Peter Yang. Sometimes you need to give your body a rest from what you have been eating regularly, such as meats, especially those that take quite a bit of time to digest and to rid the body of toxins that came in through certain foods eaten.  Over the last eight years I have faced obesity twice and have journaled my progress to freedom.                      Further, in writing several books to help others overcome obesity as well, I have now created online weight loss / nutrition and weight management "events" for those whom are "on-the-go", have limited finances to join gyms and weight loss groups and programs and for those whom simply cannot afford to nor have the time to exercise 1-2 hours per day as well as endure the pounding that "daily" jogging puts on your knees.   My solutions to weight loss, weight management, nurition and getting your health back on track is for any one of any age. Within my books I discuss how I lost 170lbs, beat obesity twice and sculpted an eating, workout and overall nutrition plan that can be done ANYWHERE. HOW THIS WILL WORK: A) Complete the Registration for your FREE Eventbrite Ticket so we know you're participating in this ONLINE (which you can do from anywhere in the World and on any device) WEIGHT LOSS CHALLENGE/PROGRAM B) Purchase the following books from GOOGLE PLAY (https://play.google.com/store/books/details?id=GuQDBAAAQBAJ) from any device, to download and get started: 1) The 7 Day Detox (21 days), 2) The 21 Day Salad Fast (21 Days), 3) The Smoothie Fast (21 Days) and 4) The Workout Workbook (it can also be printed as a PDF to journal your progress) Book 1 Link (Detox Fast):  https://play.google.com/store/books/details?id=GuQDBAAAQBAJ Book 2 Link (Salad Fast): https://play.google.com/store/books/details?id=4twLBAAAQBAJ Book 3 Link (Smoothie Fast): https://play.google.com/store/books/details?id=UlZRBAAAQBAJ Book 4 Link (Workout Workbook): https://play.google.com/store/books/details?id=pajwAwAAQBAJ C) After completing each book (start on the 1st day of each month and resting for one week in between books and to give your body a break from working on it) promptly begin the next week and book.  I listed three books to get you started on your first "Three Month Fitness Program".             YOU NEED TO GET READY: On average, past participants weight loss (no guarantee; and you need to do the work, which is "light" in order to succeed) between 10-15 pounds per month.  My weight loss was 12 pounds per month.      WORLDWIDE (OVER-WEIGHT/OVER-EATING) STATISTICS Obesity Trends (World Health Organization) Worldwide, at least 2.8 million people die each year as a result of being overweight or obese, and an estimated 35.8million (2.3%) of global DALYS are caused by overweight or obesity. »Suuns, Disappears

March 01, 2015 8:00 PM

Dark, dense and paranoid, the post-punk drone created by Montreal based four-piece Suuns has drawn multiple comparisons to Joy Division and Can, but still incorporates distinctly modern elements. Often noisy and enveloping, the band builds thick walls of sound, but always manages to exercise the right amount of restraint. Quickly noticed by popular indie label Secretly Canadian, the band nabbed a record deal and has since gained quite a bit of press throughout North America and Europe.
