NEEDTOBREATHE is an alternative/Christian rock band from Seneca, SC that was formed by brothers Bear and Bo Rinehart. The Rineharts began playing music together while attending their father's church camp, and during their college years, Bo dedicated himself to guitar while Bear focused on vocals, guitar and piano. The brothers were soon joined by bassist Seth Bolt and drummer Joe Stillwell to form NEEDTOBREATHE. After recording several EPs, the band came to the attention of Atlantic Records in 2005. The band released its debut album Daylight, in 2006, and the band's success grew steadily with each of its following releases. NEEDTOBREATHE released its fourth album, The Reckoning, in 2011 and subsequently reached a mainstream fan base while traveling with Taylor Swift for the North America segment of her Speak Now World Tour.

    »The Cave Singers

    September 22, 2014 9:00 PM

The Cave Singers is a Seattle-based indie-folk project started by former Murder City Devils and Pretty Girls Make Graves' bassist, Derek Fudesco. Unlike the art punk nature of those groups, the Cave Singers draws on classic country, folk and Americana influences, as well as from current indie rock trends. The songs are often sparse, acoustically-driven and full of harmonies, punctuated by lead singer Pete Quirk's raspy vocals. Since 2007, the band has quietly been releasing understated but effective albums for indie giant, Matador Records.

    »Jill Sobule

    September 22, 2014 7:30 PM

Her Top 40 hit, "I Kissed a Girl," and "Clueless" soundtrack cut, "Supermodel," may have put singer-songwriter Jill Sobule on the map in 1995, but she's more than just a '90s pop flash in the pan. Since then, she's composed songs for Nickelodeon's tween-centric series "Unfabulous", toured with the late, great Warren Zevon and collaborated on a musical comedy revue with former "SNL" star Julia Sweeney. In 2012, Sobule took on yet another gender-bending project; she composed original music for a new production of Isaac Bashevis Singer's "Yentl", infusing klezmer, pop and rock into the score. You can expect an evening of Sobule's topical, comical and whimsical lyrics, including tracks from her 2014 release, "Dottie's Charms."
