Busboys and Poets in Hyattsville is their fourth location and it opened its doors in 2011, becoming a popular meeting place for the locals. It is an amalgamation of art, politics and culture by regularly hosting live entertainment, poetry readings and annual rotating exhibits. There is also a book corner showcasing local authors featuring political, fiction to nonfiction books. Franklin's Brewery, hailed as a local favorite, offers a colorful atmosphere with a wide variety of entrees that are sure to satisfy everyone at the table. Located on the upper level of the restaurant, Franklin's Bar serves up beers from its brewery, specialty martinis and other refreshing mixed drinks. The bi bim bahp, shredded, marinated veggies served over steamed rice with spicy bean paste, is not to be passed up. There is also jahp chae, clear noodles and rice, Korean short ribs, teriyaki fish, focaccia sandwiches, salads and even burgers to choose from.
