If you've wondered how sun and wind supply power and water and how a host of other things work, this is the spot to find out. This environmental and educational center located at a 50-acre park is highly recommended not only for its low price, but also for its fine educational offerings. You can see a lake, upland forest and wetlands environment here and spot most of the plant and animal species native to this area. A mile-long nature trail winds through the park and an Interpretative Center features wildlife exhibits, displays, information, a classroom and a laboratory.
Helping children in their spiritual growth through education and by experiencing God through the teachings of Jesus Christ is the aim of Countryside Christian Center. The Center also undertakes various missionary works to help spread the word. With immense belief and faith in the Scriptures, the Church believes in its power to change lives. Mount Olive African Methodist Episcopal Church was established in 1894, and was one of the earliest places of worship for the African community in the city. Originally known as the Hope Henry A.M.E. Church or simply the A.M.E. Church, it took its present name after the church building was reconstructed in 1926, following a devastating storm. According to the local legend, the Pinellas County Clearwater Old Courthouse was almost built overnight to allow Clearwater to be the county seat of Pinellas. Done up in Classical Revival style, the structure is retained and restored by local authorities without any changes done to the original design. Standing amongst many newer buildings and structures, the Old Courthouse holds high the glorious past and culture of the city.

Andrews Memorial Chapel is a former Presbyterian church. It was built in 1888 in a Carpenter Gothic style and features on the National Register of Historic Places. Administered by the Dunedin Historical Society, it is an ideal venue for wedding ceremonies, christenings and funerals, as well as meetings and concerts. It is also open for public visits on Sundays.
South of Clearwater, this park with its wide swath of powder-soft sand and gentle surf has often been voted one of the nation's top beaches.
