Ann Street & High Street
Previously, Ann Street in Belfast was known as Back Street, as High Street was technically in front of it. Today both of these streets hold many historic buildings as well as shops and restaurants. Ann Street was once home to both the Artillery Barracks and Cooney's Court, though both of these establishments are no longer there. High Street holds one of the town's most distinctive buildings: the Omagh Courthouse, designed by John Hargrave of Cork. Both streets make for informative and enjoyable late afternoon strolls.
