A fine example of Gothic revival, the House of Seven Gables dates back to 1860s. Artfully restored, this magnificent architecture is a 17-room home with steeply pitched gables, ornamental bargeboards and decorated with antique furnishings. Do not miss the ten-feet tall bedroom suite called the Renaissance Revival. The architecture of this structure has fetched recognitions by organizations such as the National Register of Historic Places. International Crane Foundation is a one of it's kind place that is dedicated to the protection and breeding of cranes. Many of these long legged creatures are endangered and considered on the verge of extinction. Besides having the different species of cranes there is also a special breeding ground that is off limits to the public. The conserve also plays host to many exhibitions and displays that generate awareness among the people about the cranes. Guided tours are readily available here for school groups and others. The Wisconsin Deer Park has been a habitat for many species of deer for over fifty years now. Across 40 acres of land are spread feeding areas, exhibits and breeding areas. Species like the Virginia White Tail Deer, European Fallow Deer, American Elk can be found here. Besides the deer, here also reside the Llamas, Emus, Lemurs and Bison. If you want a scare, complete with yells and chills, then head over to the Haunted House-Ghost Outpost at Wisconsin Dells Parkway. This haunted house welcomes you with the Executioner and then follow ferocious rats and many such creepy creatures. A total of 13 dark and scary chambers await you. Located within the Storybook Garden, the Timbavati Wildlife Park is often filled with excited squeals of children who just got to pet a giraffe or a tortoise.
