The Aiken Tennis Club was incorporated in 1898 with the sponsorship of financier and head of the prominent Whitney family, William C. Whitney. It is located in Aiken, South Carolina. The club building was constructed around 1902. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on November 27, 1984.
This hunt club provides exciting fox hunting and drag hunts for out-of-town guests in the scenic Hitchcock Woods. They also sponsor the annual Blessing of the Hounds and the April Horse Show.
The beauty of Northern Georgia is on display during all seasons at Mistletoe State Park near Appling, Georgia. The park features ten cottages, 92 trailer/tent/RV sites, two primitive backpacking sites, and pioneer camping areas. Mistletoe's lake offers a public ramp and dock, and rental canoes and fishing boats are available for the boat-less among us. A beach, bike trails, and nature trails add to the park's many opportunities for outdoor entertainment.
