The Lycksele Djurpark (Lycksele Zoo) was set up in 1959 by Holger Lither to conserve and protect Nordic animals. Species of Elks, Deers, Reindeers, Bears and Otters are what the very inquisitive crowds come here to see. At the zoo, visitors can mingle with the animals, engage in feeding them and also participate in educational workshops and courses. The Lycksele Djurpark rents out its facility for public meets, family days, group tours and much more. During winter, the entire zoo is transformed into the Christmas Zoo with the entire place being lit up and decorated with a special Christmas theme. Children can have a ball with Santa and even put in their gift requests. Visitors can top off a visit here at the Bear Hill with some light snacks and drinks. Call ahead to know more.
