As you enter the Pontchartrain Hotel, this upscale lounge can be found right off the main lobby. A welcome addition in 1947, it remains a favorite stop for professionals as well as guests. Even if you are not a guest of the Pontchartrain, you might enjoy the cocktail hour. While you enjoy your drink, with complimentary hor d'oevres, notice the artwork that adorns the walls. These murals on canvas by local New Orleans artist, Charles Reinike, are considered priceless. For your entertainment, a piano bar plays from 9pm to 1am Thursdays through Sundays. It is open from Monday to Thursday, 4 pm onwards and from Friday to Sunday , 11 am onwards.

Fresh salad available along with signature drinks serve as pleasant add-ons. List of wines that include both reds and whites from all over the world is commendable. If there has to be one restaurant the caters to an ever growing list of satisfied diners, its got to be The Melting Pot.
The glow from the tiny Magazine Street dining room seems quiet and quaint, but upon entering Vizard's, patrons are overtaken by the roar of the vivacious Uptown diners enjoying their cocktails and Chef Kevin Vizard's remarkably contemporary comfort-inspired foods. Menu favorites include the Scallop Flan with jumbo lump crab and creamy crab jus and the Pan Seared Redfish with corn, oyster mushrooms, crab salad and truffle vinaigrette. Finish a meal with Vizard's uniquely decadent Black and Blue. The dark chocolate cake filled with a creamy blue cheese cake and topped with a port wine reduction and chantilly cream is an ideal way to bring a sweet end to the evening.

Wood grilled entrees include Chicken Pomadoro, and Filet Mignon. Lunch specials are reasonably priced as are brunch specials on Sunday.

Open round the clock, this establishment is frequented for its delicious marinated chicken sandwiches and fresh aromatic burgers off the grill. The bar also features karaoke for the one who wishes to let out a tune or two. Apart from serving tasty food, Lucky's is also known for it's interesting themed days and benefit events like the 'Dog Day Afternoon' and 'Annual First Cut Benefit' held in the past.
