Rated 1 out of 5 Poor value - far too many niggles Generally there was nothing major wrong, but there were a fair few niggles, too many in a hotel at this price.WiFi access: a pain having to sign back in every time you use it; sign in codes only lasted 3 nightsStaff attitude at checkin felt cold and unfriendlyGate access makes the place feel like a fortressCoffee machine in the room: only 2 capsules of coffee and NO MILK AT ALLBreakfast: coffee served in a pot that only holds exactly enough for 1 cup. Other hotels simply have large pots to help yourself from at the buffetWater pressure in the shower was OK, just. Anyone who likes a powerful shower would have been disappointed.Whatever the rules being applied to where you park your car weren't obvious - it seemed as though only those with REALLY expensive cars were welcome at the front of the hotelIn the room, there didn't seem to be enough power sockets. We aren't unusual in having phones and other devices that need charging, but we still had to unplug other things to have enough sockets for our chargersIt also took a while to work out which of the sockets were connected to the main light switch and which weren'tIn the bathroom: a basin with no plug or way of keeping the water inOverall impression was that this definitely wasn't worth the price and couldn't be recommended. We stayed here because earlier this year we'd stayed at 2 Clarion hotels in Norway and been very favourably impressed. But after this, we'd think twice before staying at another. September 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 An unexpected find! A beautiful hotel in lovely grounds, our room was exceptional with every amenity provided for. I wish we could have stayed more than one night. July 27, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 Spacious, comfortable, quiet hotel room We couldn't have been more pleased with this hotel. The room was spacious, and the bathroom was amazing - bigger than some hotel rooms we have encountered in Europe. It got very hot outside while we were there, but the individually controlled air conditioning kept our room very comfortable. The staff were very helpful, and made excellent recommendations for restaurants. At first we were surprised to see we were outside of the main downtown area. But it is truly less than 5 minutes to walk to the tram, and just a couple minutes on the clean, comfortable tram and you are in the center of the town - very convenient, and frankly, nice to be staying in a quiet, park-like environment. I would love to duplicate this experience all over Europe. July 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 Great property The best of the hotels we stayed at in France, modern suite, English friendly staff. A little off the beaten path but walkable to downtown Tours and nice and quiet. More like a spa than a hotel. Wonderful... April 20, 2014
